In today’s production environments, logistics and process efficiency are more important than ever.
Although Phidan does not focus on machine design, we are often closely involved in process (re)design in production-technical set ups.
Our approach usually starts from an audit and scan of the current situation. A variety of audit techniques is applied to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the existing situation. If necessary, measurement programs are started up to assure that quantified and objective data is available before improvement programs start. Phidan can rely on a number of qualified SMED and 6-sigma specialists.
Improvement programs are designed in collaboration with management, but also with close involvement of the machine operators.
Once the improvement program has been set up, implementation can start. This phase can be completed by one of our interim managers, via a coaching program or even through an in-house training program.
Production process improvements are often combined with quality upgrading through KAIZEN, TQM or other integral quality management techniques.
